Black hangers are used where the collection should contrast with the hanger, and where the store has dark fixtures or a more exclusive look. Black works across seasons and brands, and the lacquer hides wear better than white. Rubberised black also gives grip for silk, viscose and light tops, so they stay on the hanger without clips.
If you choose black as standard throughout the store, keep to one hanger family, e.g. Bedford for shirt, clip and coat, and use at most one variant to mark a department. Read more in the guide to colours and finishes and in the guide to hanger models.
On black lacquer the logo is printed in 1 or 2 Pantone colours, typically white or gold (871 C). The minimum is 300 hangers in total, models can be mixed, and the lead time is approx. 3 weeks from approved proof. See your logo on the hanger in the The Logo Designer, or read about the choice between pad printing and laser.
Hook and clips come in black or white on the stock models. A black hook on a black hanger gives a unified, dark look on the rack. A white hook makes the hanger a visible detail. See the options under hanger hooks and metal parts.
