Silk, viscose, satin and thin knitwear slide off lacquered hangers. The rubberized surface keeps them in place, so staff don't have to pick them up and adjust them all day, and the customer is presented with a rack that looks neat. Rubberized is therefore the standard choice for dresses, tops and blouses in smooth fabrics and for showrooms where hangers are moved frequently.
The surface is matte black and provides the same contrast as black lacquer. When the customer takes the item off the bar, the rubber ring feels soft and solid in the hand, which is part of the experience of quality. Read more in the guide to colors and finishes and in the article about why the hanger affects sales.
The logo is pad-printed in 1 or 2 Pantone colors, typically white or gold, on the matte surface. Minimum is 300 hangers in total, models can be mixed, and delivery time is approx. 3 weeks from approved proof. See your logo on the hanger in The logo designer, or read about pad printing or laser.
For trousers and skirts, clamps are still the right choice. The rubber ring is for clothes that hang over the shoulder: tops, dresses, blouses and light knitwear. Many stores combine rubberized shirt hangers for smooth clothes with clamp hangers for bottoms. See trouser bar or clip hanger and the guide to hanger models.
