Colours and finishes on hangers: natural wood, white, black or rubberised

The colour of the hanger is the first thing the customer sees on the rail, and it decides how a logo will look. Here are the four finishes we keep in stock, what they suit, and what it takes if you want your own colour.
  • Four finishesFour surfaces in stock: natural wood, white lacquer, black lacquer and rubberised black. All in solid wood, delivery in 1–3 working days from our warehouse in Denmark.
  • Match the storeNatural wood for quality and craftsmanship, white for light, Nordic concepts, black for contrast and premium, rubberized when garments must not slip.
  • Logo and your own colorPrint in brand color on white and black, laser tone-in-tone on natural wood. Your own Pantone color requires special production from 500 pieces.

Four finishes, four looks

All four are available on the stock models Bedford, Halifax, Crosby and Carlton in various combinations. Metal parts come in black or white, so hook and clips can match the colour or contrast with it.

Natural-coloured wooden hanger with rounded shoulders – versatile solution for professional shirt display in store and showroom (shirt hanger)
Natural wood
Untreated or clear-lacquered, so the grain is visible. Signals quality and craftsmanship and suits brands that want to show the material. A laser-engraved logo sits best here. Models: Halifax, York, Bedford.
White, curved coat hanger on a wall hook – simple, modern design for clothing.
White lacquer
A light, calm surface that makes coloured and patterned garments stand out. Used in Nordic and minimalist stores and for summer collections. A dark printed logo stands out sharply. Models: Bedford shirt and coat.
Black and white shirt hanger with modern design – elegant look with high recognition value.
Black lacquer
Contrast and a more exclusive look. Works across seasons and brands and hides wear better than white. Logo in white or gold. Models: Bedford, Crosby.
Black shirt hanger with textured surface – Premium design for presentation rooms.
Rubberised black
Matt, rubber-coated surface with extra grip, so smooth, light fabrics do not slip off. A calm matt surface that does not reflect light. Models: Bedford shirt hanger, Carlton coat hanger with trouser bar.

How to choose by store and garments

  • One colour throughout the store. Uniform hangers calm the rails and make the range easier to take in. Choose one finish as standard and use at most one more to mark a department or brand.
  • Bright store: light wood or white. In stores with light floors and walls, white hangers disappear visually, leaving the garments on their own. Natural wood adds a little warmth.
  • Dark or premium setting: black. Black lacquer sets off light garments and suits dark fixtures and brass or black rails.
  • Smooth fabrics: rubberised. Silk, viscose and satin slip off lacquered hangers. A rubberised surface keeps them in place without clips.
  • Showrooms and trade fairs. Here the hangers must cope with being moved every day. Black lacquer and rubberised show the least wear.
  • Mixed brands, natural wood. Natural wood is neutral enough for many brands to hang side by side without the hanger taking sides.

Logo and metal parts must match the colour

The colour decides which logo method looks best. On white and black lacquer we print the logo in 1 or 2 Pantone colours, e.g. black on white or white and gold on black. On natural wood, laser engraving comes into its own: the logo sits tone-on-tone, slightly darker than the wood, and cannot wear off. Both methods from 300 hangers in total, approx. 3 weeks from approved proof.

Hook and clips come in black or white on the stock models. A black hook on natural wood or black lacquer gives a unified, dark look. A white hook on white lacquer or natural wood gives the light, Nordic look. You can see the combinations with your own logo in the The Logo Designer.

Special colours: hangers in your own Pantone

If the hanger must match your brand colour exactly, we make it as custom production. The colour is specified in Pantone, the lacquer can be matt or glossy, and hook, clips and logo are chosen so the hanger becomes one complete solution. The minimum is 500 pcs for coat hangers and 1,000 pcs for other models, and the lead time is approx. 16–18 weeks. You receive a proof and a sample before production starts.
