FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an international, independent organisation founded in 1993. It sets standards for responsible forestry and has independent certification bodies check that the standards are followed.
The certification has two links, and both must be in place before a hanger may be called FSC-certified:
The FSC label comes in three variants: FSC 100% (all wood from FSC-certified forests), FSC Mix (FSC wood mixed with recycled material and controlled wood) and FSC Recycled.
Beech is the classic wood for hangers. It is hard and dense, the grain is even, and it withstands lacquer, colour and many years of daily handling without splintering or breaking at the hook. That is why beech is also the wood we use in our FSC models.
Our FSC hangers come in untreated natural beech, so the grain is visible. The metal parts are available in black or white. The hangers are produced in Europe.
Buyers, CSR departments and chains increasingly ask for documentation of the materials in store fixtures. FSC gives you three concrete things. FSC documentation for the delivered hangers comes with the order.

Halifax covers the whole store: the shirt hanger for shirts and light outerwear, the clip hanger for trousers and skirts, the coat hanger with 35 mm curved shoulder for jackets and coats. York is the alternative when you want a clip hanger with a slimmer look.
All four FSC models can take a logo. The minimum is 300 hangers in total, and you can mix models, e.g. 200 shirt hangers and 100 coat hangers. You choose between pad printing in 1 or 2 colours and laser engraving. On natural beech the laser comes into its own: the logo sits tone-on-tone, darker than the wood around it, and cannot wear off.
The logo is a surcharge per hanger, from €1.00 for 1-colour print and €1.15 for laser at 300–499 pcs. The lead time is approx. 3 weeks from approved proof, and we reply within 1 working day. If the hanger needs a specific shape, length, colour, lacquer or hook, we make it from scratch, and all our wooden models can be made in FSC-certified wood. FSC is a choice of material, not a limit on design.
The minimum is 500 pcs for coat hangers and 1,000 pcs for other models. The lead time is approx. 16–18 weeks. You receive a proof and a sample before production starts, and the FSC documentation comes with the delivery. Read more about custom-made hangers.
