All of our storage hangers are made of solid wood or steel and ship from our warehouse in Denmark in 1–3 business days. The difference lies in what they are designed to carry, how they feel, and how many are required on the pole.

The customer sees the hanger before they touch the garment. A lightweight plastic hanger is associated with mass production and stock sales, while wood and metal signal that thought has been put into the presentation. This affects what the customer expects to pay before the price tag is read.
Plastic also provides less support. Thin hangers bend under jackets and coats, causing shoulders to sag and clothes to have to be straightened throughout the day. And when the customer takes the item off the rack, the hanger is the first thing they feel in their hand: weight, surface and stability are part of the experience of quality.
Plastic has its place in the warehouse and in transport, where the hanger is not visible. On the sales floor, stores with a focus on presentation choose wood or metal, and most of our customers use wood for what the customer needs to see, and metal where a lot of goods need to be packed into a small space.
If you want to choose a model and not just a material, start with the guide to hanger models.
